OUR WEB MAINTENANCE PLANS

A site should not just be developed and left as is. Changes should be made to content periodically either to update or to add information to a site. In fact, to help in your search engine rankings, it is recommended that content be updated at least once a month.

Web Maintenance

Normal, on–going Web maintenance can include items like:

IDG can maintain your site in a timely, efficient manner turning around site updates within 48 hours (business days) . Please note: This includes content changes like those cited above not major re-coding or programming or site design changes which will take longer depending upon the request.

If IDG developed your website, you can pick from our plans for your website maintenance.

If you are a new business owner client, upon initial contact, we will review your site (you may have to provide ftp information) and check that we have the correct skillset to maintain it. If we don't have the right abilities, we will attempt to point you toward someone who can help you. Please check out our plans.

Please note: If we did not develop your site, more than likely at some point, we will need access to your original designed layered files and fonts in order to maintain graphics on your site. Please be aware we may request these from you at any point. If we need to re-create the graphics and/or buy fonts, that cost will be charged to you. When we work with layered files, we work only with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator layered files.

If you are a website company looking to outsource website maintenanace on multiple websites, please call IDG at 978–660–6712 or Email:ingenuitydesign@comcast.net to discuss your particular needs.

Maintenance Plans

We offer various maintenance plans. They are described below from lowest cost per hour to highest. Time spent under all plans is charged in minimum 5 minutes increments. If we contract to work on your site, we aim for a 24–48 hour business day turnaround time on changes. Usually we can make changes faster.

Please note: The timeframe does not include changes that require major coding or graphics work or site re–design. If for any reason we cannot meet your expected timeframe, we will notify you immediately.

MONTHLY RETAINER
Purchase a pre–paid (minimum 6–month period) allottment ofa pre-determined number of hours per month. The hours are charged at 80% of our current hourly rate.

Changes to your site will be made up to that number of hours in each month. IF you exceed your monthly allottment during a particular month period, you will be charged at 85% of our current hourly rate for time exceeding the allotted hours.

Please note: unused time does NOT rollover so if you buy two hours each month but don't use the two hours, any time left over does NOT roll into the remaining period of the contract.

PRE-PURCHASED HOURS

Pre-purchase a number of hours at 90% of our current hourly rate. These will be a “bucket” against which we will charge time actually used until it is used up.

At the end of each month, we will notify you of your balance. You can refill the “bucket” as your pre-purchased hours are used up.

PAY BY THE HOUR
We make changes at our current hourly rate.
PROJECT
In a rare case, we may agree to a flat rate on a project. This would have to be an extremely defined project with specific and clear requirements with a mutually agreed to scope. It would probably also require that we have familiarity with your site and its structure.
